Community Impact Initiative

TAEO’s Community Impact Initiative is focused on enhancing organizational capacity in participating organizations through a neighborhood-led impact project. Each organization will be awarded a grant to develop an individual community-driven project that showcases the history and culture of their neighborhoods. Organizations work alongside residents, city officials and community partners to execute their resident-led initiatives.

Kirkpatrick Heights

TAEO is working with the Greenwood Legacy Corporation (GLC) and community stakeholders to unlock 56 acres of transformative, community-led mixed-use growth in the historic Greenwood district. TAEO and the GLC invite visionary development partners to build equitable housing and commercial spaces that drive local wealth creation. Historic Moton Hospital

After a $4 million investment from the City of Tulsa and a subsequent $1 million investment from Tulsa County, the Greenwood Entrepreneurship at Moton (GEM) is focused on building Black businesses in north Tulsa, providing training and incubator space to entrepreneurs.
